Infineon Technologies AG has introduced a new current rating module for its 1200 V TRENCHSTOP? IGBT7 series. This makes the Easy 1B and 2B product series more complete. It is now possible to implement power solutions up to 11 kW in PIM topology or up to 22 kW in six-cell topology by combining the latest chip technology. Customers can choose this way: either replace IGBT4 with IGBT7 technology to increase the system power using Easy 2B modules, or replace Easy 2B IGBT4 with Easy 1B IGBT7 under certain circumstances to reduce the board area required to obtain the same power. Like the previously introduced TRENCHSTOP IGBT7 Easy module, the new current-rated module fully meets the design requirements of industrial drives.
